ad hoc arbitration
Arbitration (arbitration) where the procedure is determined independently by the parties and the arbitrators, without the involvement of an arbitral institution. Questions such as costs and procedure are decided by the parties, and failing agreement between them, by the arbitrators.
+ ad hoc arbitration
USA
A form of arbitration where the parties determine the rules under which the arbitration will proceed. Ad hoc arbitration is not administered by an arbitral institution. Therefore, the parties themselves must select the arbitrators and designate the rules, applicable law, procedures and administrative support system.
