building scheme

building scheme
A type of development scheme with particular requirements. The advantage of establishing the existence of a building scheme is that the restrictive covenants (restrictive covenant) imposed on the various plots comprised in the scheme remain mutually enforceable by and against the various owners from time to time.
In short, the requirements for a building scheme are that an owner must have intended to sell a particular area of land in plots. The sales would have been on terms that imposed restrictions on the plots. Those restrictions must have been intended to be mutually enforceable in the interests of the buyers of the plots of land and their successors in title.
