C terms
A category of Incoterms requiring the seller to arrange transportation. CIF is a typical term where the seller arranges a ship to take the goods to the buyer's country (carriage), insures them against loss in transit (insurance) and pays the carriage cost (freight). Risk will pass at the point at which the carrier takes possession.
