Cadbury report

Cadbury report
The report issued by the Committee on the Financial Aspects of Corporate Governance chaired by Sir Adrian Cadbury. The committee was set up in May 1991 in response to concerns about the perceived level of low confidence both in financial reporting and the ability of auditors to provide safeguards. The recommendations of the report were enshrined in a Code of Best Practice on corporate governance. This Code of Best Practice has been built on to form the current Combined Code on corporate governance.
