Higgs review
The Higgs review of the role and effectiveness of non-executive directors in the UK, established under the chairmanship of Derek Higgs in 2002. It made recommendations for a revised Combined Code.
Many of those recommendations were taken up by the Financial Reporting Council in its 2003 version of the Combined Code which applies to listed companies with reporting periods commencing on or after 1 November 2003, and before 1 November 2006.
