Public Sector Procurement Directive

Directive 2004/18/EC on the co-ordination of procedures for the award of public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts. Directive 2004/18/EC covers contracts awarded by central government, local authorities and other bodies in the public sector (such as schools, universities and health authorities). The Public Sector Procurement Directive is implemented in England and Wales by the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
