league tables
USA
Rankings of investment banks (and in some cases, their legal counsel) by dollar volume of deals worked on in a given period such as issuances of debt, equity and syndicated loans, project finance and mergers and acquisitions. League tables are produced by several sources, including Thompson Financial, Bloomberg and Dealogic. League tables provide useful information about current market activity and getting "league table credit" is very important to investment banks for marketing purposes.
