- summary diligence
in Scots law, a procedure whereby certain constituted obligations can be enforced without the need to apply to a court. To be able to exercise this right it is necessary that the deed contains a clause containing the debtor's comments to registration for execution. Once registered, the debt can be enforced in much the same way as a court decree.
