U.S. v. Microsoft
An antitrust lawsuit brought by the U.S. Department of Justice against Microsoft Corporation in 1998, in which the United States alleged that Microsoft had violated antimonopoly laws by bundling its operating system and Web browser software, thus unfairly preventing rivals from competing for customers.
