Under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulation 1992, there are specific requirements for employers in respect of display screen equipment. These include obligations to assess and reduce risks (both in terms of muscular/skeletal and eye problems), the consideration of ergonomics, working patterns and technical enhancements. Employees must be provided with eye tests on request and corrective appliances as necessary.
