reasons for dismissal

reasons for dismissal
Under the Employment Rights Act 1996, for employees with over two years continuous service, there is an entitlement to be given written reasons for dismissal by the employer within fourteen days of that dismissal. The adequacy of such reasons will not be scrutinised but they must be correct. Failure to fulfil these requirements can result in the award by an industrial tribunal of compensation to the employee.
