union dues

union dues
Under Section 68 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992, deductions may be made from wages by the employer in the event of a payment to a third party to which the employee consented, e.g. under a union check-off agreement. If the employee advises the employer that he is no longer a union member then no more deductions should be made.
