Disability Rights Commission
(DRC)
The DRC was an independent statutory body established in April 2000 to stop discrimination of, and promote equality of opportunity for, disabled people. On 1 October 2007, the DRC was dissolved and its functions taken over by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
