disability discrimination
Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, disability discrimination can take one of four forms:
direct discrimination against a disabled person on grounds of their disability.
• Less favourable treatment of a disabled person for a reason related to their disability, where the treatment is not justified (disability-related discrimination).
• A failure to comply with a duty to make a reasonable adjustment.
• Discrimination by way of victimisation.
