dual contract
An arrangement where an employee has two employment contracts with different employers (usually in the same group), covering the whole of their working time. Dual contract arrangements usually involve foreign nationals working in the UK, who also continue to work (carrying out qualitatively different duties) for an overseas company. A dual contract is intended to ensure that only income for duties performed in the UK is subject to UK income tax.
