further and better particulars

further and better particulars
A procedure whereby a party to a claim in a court or tribunal can request additional information about the other party's claim or defence. In the context of employment law there is no specified format in which this must be done, however, it is customary to refer specifically to statements in the claim and ask particular questions relating to them. If a party to a claim does not respond to a request for FBPs within a reasonable period of time (which would normally be at least seven days) the other party may apply for an order from the tribunal for this information to be provided.
