futures
A type of derivative. Futures contracts deal with the sale of financial instruments, commodities or indices at a fixed price at a fixed date in the future.
For UK corporation tax purposes, a future is a contract to buy (or sell) an asset at a specified future date at a certain price, the purchase price being determined at the time the contract is entered into.
