Law Commission

Law Commission
a body established by the Law Commissions Act 1965 to examine the law with a view to its systematic development and reform, including the codification of law, the elimination of anomalies, the repeal of obsolete and unnecessary enactments, and the modernisation of the law. Members are appointed by the Lord Chancellor. See also Scottish Law Commission, Law Reform Commission.

Law Commission
The Law Commission for England and Wales established in 1965 to keep the law under review through research and publication of papers on particular areas of the law. It recommends ways in which the law can be simplified and modernised.
