some other substantial reason

some other substantial reason
some other substantial reason (SOSR)
In the context of employment law, one of the six potentially fair reasons for dismissing an employee under the ERA 1996 is a substantial reason of a kind such as to justify the dismissal of an employee holding the position which that employee held. In order to dismiss an employee fairly for this reason an employer will need to demonstrate that it acted reasonably in treating that reason as a sufficient reason for dismissal and that it followed a fair procedure.
