Takeovers Directive
The European Directive on Takeover Bids (2004/25/EC), implemented in the UK on 20 May 2006 for an interim period by the Takeovers Directive (Interim Implementation) Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/1183), and implemented permanently in the UK on 6 April 2007 by Part 28 of the Companies Act 2006.
