Chapter 13
USA
This is a US bankruptcy term. The chapter of the US Bankruptcy Code which provides relief for an individual debtor who has "regular income" (this usually, but not always, means wages) and owes a relatively modest amount. Chapter 13 is intended primarily for consumer debtors who wish to devote some of their earnings to pay all or a percentage of their debts over a period of three to five years.

Chapter 13
(wage earner's plan or Chapter 13). A chapter of the Bankruptcy Code which allows a debtor to file a wage earner's plan for payment of a percentage of his debts from future earnings.
