Audit Commission

Audit Commission
an independent watchdog promoting economy, efficiency and effectiveness in local public services. Its role includes the appointment of independent auditors to local government, health and criminal justice organisations and the inspection of public services to assess their quality and cost effectiveness, on which they report back to the public.
